Pole dance and fitness, a newly official recognized sport by the Olympic committee, has made its way into mainstream fitness centres. Pole draws on many influences including gymnastics, Chinese pole and circus arts, and contemporary dance, to name a few. In Intro to Pole, we learn how to use the pole as both a dance partner and strength trainer, working on coordination, upper body strength, and core engagement.
Aerial Hoop is most widely recognized for its circus origins. In Intro to Hoop, we focus on building the technique and strength needed to mount the suspended apparatus. Learning how to properly mount and dismount is key to progressing safely. Intro to Hoop will also introduce moves and tricks inside the apparatus. Don't be alarmed if you get to go upside down!
Workshop will be split into 45 minutes of Pole and 45 minutes of Aerial Hoop.
Please bring a pair of leggings/yoga pants and shorts.

Join Gail Collins for this fun workshop of arm balancing to help turn your life upside down! It’s fun to do fun tricks in yoga but most importantly you need to gain the body awareness and strength to get there safely. In this Part 1 of 2 series you will learn basic postural breakdown in order to gain the most out of your yoga practice.
In order to safely move forward into more advanced inversions it’s paramount to build the required strength. In this workshop we will fine tune specific postures to help us move forward. We will explore beginner inversions and different ways to enter these poses safely so that we build that muscle memory!
Part 1 is not required to move to Part 2 but encouraged.
If you feel confident in some basic inversions you may take just the second portion of the workshop.

Now that we’ve had some extra time to focus on building strength it’s time to move into trickier postures.
In this second half of our workshop we go a little more in depth with more advanced variations. Again we explore different techniques and breakdowns to attempt new postures in order to move forward.

We’ll cover basics of EFT tapping – what exactly it is, how it came to be, and what kinds of issues it can be used on (spoiler alert – almost anything!!!). You’ll also learn to do simple EFT techniques on yourself and get helpful tips for achieving more profound results. This is hands-on, so come prepared to get comfy with tapping!

The full moon ceremony will begin by setting the intention to release with the inclusion of the feeling of gratitude. What you release is up to you. The full moon can be a powerful time to let go of the old and connecting deeply with ourselves with a feeling of gratitude and an intention can be a powerful way to shift our inner worlds to impact the outer reality.
Sound Healing works by leading us into a relaxed and deep inner awareness akin to a deep state of meditation. The vibrations from the instruments sooth the body and encourage the release of tension and ease physical pain and discomfort. Our energy centers become stimulated and begin to release emotional content from past experiences and traumas from the body.
At a Sacred Sounds event, through the use of Sound, we enter into our inner worlds in a group setting. This can have tremendous benefits for us on many levels, from stress relief to emotional release and spiritual experiences.
The layout of a Gong Bath group session is an introduction to sound and explaining how it works, some tips on how to make the experience as deep for you as it can be, and some quiet reflection time at the end of the session. During the session, you can sit, however it is recommended to lay down so bring a yoga mat/blanket and maybe a small pillow if you need one. Most importantly of all, Enjoy the experience!

Join us for an exploration of the Chakras through the use of gentle movement Yoga, Sound Therapy and Essential oils!
We begin with a brief introduction to the chakras and the roles they play in our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual experiences, followed by an opening meditation.
You will then be guided by Gail through a sequence of gentle yoga poses to open the area of the body each chakra resides in, followed by a rest in shavasana pose and offered an essential oil to help open the chakras further while immersed in sound from gongs, Tibetan and crystal bowls and more to further deepen your experience and release.
Sound is a key to unlocking the doors of our inner perception, bringing us deep within and exploring our inner worlds. For each chakra we will be using different instruments and sounds that produce frequencies to entice the chakra to activate and open. This can promote healing and release on an emotional as well as physical level. As the chakra is opened, it will begin to release and will seek balance and harmony with your energy system.
About essential oils and chakras
The use of essential oils to produce a response in the chakras is based on the subtle vibrations the oils give off when used in the body, it changes our energetic vibration and certain oils will affect a particular chakra. The oil will stimulate the chakra and promote optimal vibration through the release of emotional/energetic attachments.
About Yoga and chakras
The inclusion of breath and intention with specific Yoga poses(Asanas) and sequence of movement for each Chakra is a powerful way to connect with ourselves. This combination brings us to a relaxed and internally aware state of consciousness where we can clearly connect with our chakras.
