Bend City goes Aerial with The Studio

Take that yogi strength to new heights!

Pole dance and fitness, a newly official recognized sport by the Olympic committee, has made its way into mainstream fitness centres. Pole draws on many influences including gymnastics, Chinese pole and circus arts, and contemporary dance, to name a few. In Intro to Pole, we learn how to use the pole as both a dance partner and strength trainer, working on coordination, upper body strength, and core engagement.

Aerial Hoop is most widely recognized for its circus origins. In Intro to Hoop, we focus on building the technique and strength needed to mount the suspended apparatus. Learning how to properly mount and dismount is key to progressing safely. Intro to Hoop will also introduce moves and tricks inside the apparatus. Don't be alarmed if you get to go upside down!

Workshop will be split into 45 minutes of Pole and 45 minutes of Aerial Hoop.

Please bring a pair of leggings/yoga pants and shorts.

Cost is $30.00 plus HST.
